i know that resistance trainers are not cheap, but please consider i have a very tight budget.
what would work for my mountain bike?
on it, it says giant sedona sram max.
thanks in advance.

Answer
For a mountain bike, you have two options:
1. A trainer that is rim drive and has little wheels that spin on the rim and provide resistance. I have one made by Minoura.
2. A spare wheel, a slick tire, and the more popular type of trainer that the tire spins. I also have a Cycleops fluid 2 trainer. This option provides better resistance training, but is more expensive.
