or if u got the lyrics thats kl too

Answer
Great Big World - Anne Hathaway

Here's a story I hope you'll like,
It's the one about the girl riding on her bike
I know it's a tired old tale but it still rings true
She could never be rude or unkind
But a sad song played on the back of her mind ohh
Can someone show me a different day?
To take me away

Take me out of the woods great big world
You know I'm wanting for you
You know I'm wanting for you

They tell me goodies make the woods go round
And every day they fix the tea to wash 'em down
You know if you spin your wheels everything's ok
There's a girl who's been on my mind
She was never one who ever cared to color in the lines ohh
Did you know that this girl looks alot like me
Ohh

Take me out of the woods great big world
You know I'm wanting for you
You know I'm wanting for you
Wanting for you
Wanting for you

Answer
A light bike won't help you learn tricks, it will only make it easier to do tricks you already know how to do. A light bike won't compensate for poor technique.

That said, 20 lbs is way too light. ANY complete found that weighs 20 lbs will be very weak, and it would cost $1,800+ to get a custom bike to weigh under 20 lbs.

what bmx bike is a good choice?

Hello

whats a good choice for under $250? im thinking a kink curb 2012. is kink good? if not what are other good bikes for 250$ or under. i want a nice light bmx that i can do simple tricks and just have fun.

Answer
For under $250, you won't find anything great. Under $400, the frames will be mostly hi-tensile steel, which is weaker and heavier than chromo. Also, most of the bearings will be unsealed, which means they won't spin as well and won't last as long.

Save up another $150 and get the 2012 Kink Whip. It will last MUCH longer than the Kink Curb.

Which is the best elliptical trainer? The one with front drive or rear drive mechanism ?

best spinning bike consumer report on schwarzkopf hair repair, schwarzkopf hair serum, schwarzkopf hair ...
best spinning bike consumer report image

Ramkumar

Answer
Best is subjective (and unless price doesn't matter should be based on value for the price). My wife is an elliptical fan (I prefer my spin bike) and tried several before choosing the Octane (front drive) because it 'felt the best".

The position of the drive is more a personal preference than a determinant of which is the best trainer. There are several "best elliptical trainer" sites out there (Google it), but the independent review site Consumer Reports' top rated elliptical trainer (Diamond Back 1260Ef) is a front drive model, while the 2nd and 3rd (tied) were front drive and rear drive models (Sole E35 and Pacemaster Silver XT). Note that these models, along with Precor and Octane are on most lists of top brands/models ... all of which feature a mix of front and back drive designs.

firstly will riding a bike everyday for an hour or so (and eating healthily) reduce the size of my bum?

ive started cutting out junk food and reducing the size of my portions and i wanna start bike riding regularly.
If i ride my bike everyday for about an hour at a good pace how long will it be before i start seeing a difference to my size? im currently 9stone 2lbs, 5foot 7

Answer
Laura

You are so right. You need to diet in conjunction with exercise to have a dramatic effect on our weight. You cannot spot reduce, so you will lose weight all over your body at the same rate. Ypu will feel the toning effects of your efforts within two weeks.

You need to learn how to ride properly. You do not ride with a slow pedal cadence with too much pedal pressure. Rather, you spin the pedals at a rate of 70+ rpm with moderate pedal pressure. You use the gears to enable that. You ride the length of your ride with the same spin rate AND pedal pressure over the length of the ride.

If you do not know about 'spinning' write back on this forum!

What is considered moderate bike riding?

Ally

I ride my bike 45 min. everyday and am riding up and down hills. I have to work my legs pretty hard to get up the hills. I would think that this is moderate but am I right?

Answer
A heart rate monitor will tell you. A moderate pace is 70-80% of you max heart rate. You should be able to talk but not sing at a moderate pace. I like to climb hills so I can get stronger so I am way over my max heart rate and gasping for air by the time i reach the top. Pedaling at a high cadence 70-90 rpm's in a gear that is easy to spin will help keep your legs from getting tired.

Answer
Depending on your budget, you can go to a bike shop and get measured for a proper frame, or you could simply buy a used bike on craigslist and wing it.

Either way, know what riding style (forward/straight up/reclined) you'd enjoy most. Take things for spin from shops - they'll let you if you tell them you're in the market.

We have several bikes at home here, and I like to ride way forward (head almost above the handlebars) while some friends like a little more upright riding.

For a complete review of all types of bikes for the average commuter, see link.

are expensive in home exercise bikes worth it?

girlygirl

I want a buy an exercise bike, looked at walmart.com and sportsauthority. but want a good quality bike with a comfortable seat. There are the upright ones which range from 100-300 (for most) and then the spinning quality bikes - around $400+. I just don't know if it is worth it spending that kind of money? I dont' want it to break right away. and reading reviews online doesn't seem to help as there are a good deal of people that like the bikes and a certain few that never do, any suggestions?

Answer
They are only worth the money if you use them. Most end up being dustcatchers regardless of price.

That being said, the cheap department store models, say, up to $400 tend to be of low quality which often discourages the user. The better models, $400 and up, located at sporting goods stores and exercise retailers are certainly worth the extra money. Once you get to about $900-1000 there are diminishing benefits and you end up getting "bells and whistles" that aren't really necessary for most people.

All this being said, and with the knowledge that I am a dyed-in-the-wool bikie, I suggest that unless you are transferring your exercise bike benefits to a real bicycle that you instead look at elliptical trainers. They provide a much better overall workout.

How is it helpful to have a triple chainset rather than a double?

best professional spinning bike on Star Trac Spinner Bike, Star Trac Spinner Pro
best professional spinning bike image

Emily

Most cyclocross bikes seem to have double chainsets. Why is this? Why don't they have triples? How could a triple get in the way?

Road bikes tend to have triple chainsets. Why is this?

Answer
Double cranksets, both compact and standard size, are lighter and shift better than triples. For that reason the vast majority of bikes used for racing have double cranks. Unless you are going down big hills or are as strong as a professional racer, even compact cranks offer gears high enough for fast riding. learning to spin the pedals will make you a better, stronger rider, and reduce the chances of injuring your knees. If you feel the need for higher gears, choosing a cassette with an 11 tooth cog will be more than enough to keep up with anybody

i'm 14 and im thinking about getting a dirt bike ive never rode one before but i have a normal bike and i rode a 4 wheeler before. im 5'2 and 94 pounds i was thinking maybe a older version yz125 or cr125 i dont wana spend too much money and im not gona be racing but i dont want a cheap quality bike that will break. i want something in the 1000$ range and if u could give me a website with older bikes (cheaper then newer models like 2013 or 2012 that would be great. thanks

Answer
The 125 2 stroke might be to big for you and your kinda to light for a 125 and all the bike will do is spin the tires. Id look into a 125 4 stroke like a yamaha ttr125 or a suzuki drz125. If u want something 2 stroke look at them 85l or big wheel or expert. Look at a suzuki rm85l or cr85 should be good or u can look into a kx100. Before you ride make sure u understand to shift gears and work the clutch. Good luck

Should I get a crf250r or a crf450r?

Sam

I am 14 years old and I have been riding for 9 years. I currently have a motocross built 2005 crf250x, and next year I will be getting either a crf250r or a crf450r (2013 either model). I weigh about 115 pounds. Is there a significant difference in power between the x and the r of the 250 model ? Or should I just jump to the 450?

Answer
There is quite a lot of difference between the x and r models, especially in the upper rev range. Do a little research to compare the torque and maximum horse power and you will find it seems not even to be the same bike they are giving the figures for, and really that is true, they are not the same bike. Although they are both 250's that superficially have the same engine they are a world apart in a lot of areas.

Given your age and weight a 450 would be very hard for you to get the power down to the track, you would have heaps of wheel spin but that is not forward motion. I also think that because of you age, being on your side, and only 5 years riding experience it would be too soon to step up to a 450 just now, especially from an x model and missing out racing a 250r. From a 250x to a 450r is a huge gap... That needs a lot of thinking about first, even ask a friend with a 250r if he would let you do a lap or two to check it out...

What is the difference between a Spinercise class and a Spin & Tone class?

What is the difference between a Spinercise class and a Spin & Tone class?
Trying to figure out which one I should take. Would like to get rid of the jiggles :), especially my stomach.

Answer
I think they're very similar. I do the Spin & Tone.

Spinning, or studio cycling, is an excellent exercise to strengthen your heart and tone your legs. Classes consist of anywhere from a half dozen to 20 participants perched atop special stationary bikes. The instructor then takes the class on a "ride" that includes sprints, hill climbs, and other fun exercises like intervals and circuits. Classes are usually 45 to 50 minutes long and are set to music. Aside from the group energy, one of the things that makes spin classes so much better than regular stationary cycling is the bikes themselves. Spinning bikes are equipped with a weighted flywheel in the front that picks up speed as you pedal, and the seats and handlebars are adjustable, so you feel like you're riding on a real bike. There's a knob below the handlebars that allows you to adjust the tension, making pedaling easier or harder, as you ride down flat roads, up mountain sides, and down hills.

Spinning is very popular, especially among people who don't care for traditional exercise classes. There are no complicated dance moves to follow, and since you control your bike's tension, you can stay within a comfortable exercise zone for your fitness level, while still feeling like you're "keeping up" with the class. Unlike actual cycling, there are no worries about lagging behind the pack. Everyone finishes together. And everyone gets a great workout. Spinning scorches about 7.2 to 13.6 calories per minute, or about 500 calories per class. All that pedaling is also a great leg shaper, as it tones your glutes, thighs, and calves.

Have you ever made out with a stranger?

Peach Rose

If so - why, where and how was it?

What is the physics reason behind balancing a two wheeler?

which spinning bike is the best uk on best sellers the new york times best sellers children s books ...
which spinning bike is the best uk image

Avik Sarka

Answer
The principle used here is the law of conservation of momentum.

To change the linear momentum an external force is necessary.
To change the angular momentum an external torque is necessary.

In the absence of any external force ,the object continues to be in its state of uniform motion or angular motion.

To fall down from a moving bicycle, you must tilt your self to the left or right of the bicycle so that gravity will pull you down.

Suppose you tilt to the left,
Imagine there is no friction between the tires and the road.

The tires will move to the right.
Being friction is always there, the movement of the tires to the right is prevented by the friction that acts toward left.

Your effort to fall down to the left is balanced by the friction for certain angle of inclination of the bicycle.

At this inclined position you will move along an arc of a circle rather than going in a straight path.

Greater the speed greater is the radius of the circular path.

But soon we adjust our selves, by practice to straighten ourselves once again.

This is the reason why we are not falling down from the bicycle.

This is the reason why will lean ourselves to left or right while turning to left or right.
=======================================â¦

Many tell the gyroscopic effect for not falling down.
There is gyroscopic effect in bicycle, but the reason is not that.

That is the answer for a different question.

Any movement of the handle bar to the right causes the bike initially to fall to the left. This is exactly as would be expected from the gyroscopic effect acting on the front wheel.

The front wheel of a bicycle is spinning around a horizontal axis.
If the handle bar is turned to the left, you are turning the axis of the wheel in a horizontal plane. The gyroscopic effect is that you and your cycle are turned to the right about a horizontal axis.

Though this is one reason why we are not falling from the cycle, this effect is not pronounced like the friction acting on the tires of the cycle.

With both hands free from the bar, one can ride a bicycle without falling down and turn to left or right by leaning to left or right.

Here is the site to show why gyroscopic effect is not a good reason for not falling from the cycle.

How to count carbon/hydrogen environments?

Jennifer M

How do I count carbon and hydrogen environments of organic compounds?

My textbook doesn't cover this and our teacher hasn't explained it very well so I'm still confused about this.

I also can't identify the "shielding effect" very well. This is for NMR spectroscopy where we incorporate the "n + 1 rule" for peaks on the spectra.

I can't find any useful links in google about this. :(

Thanks very much!

Answer
identify which carbon atoms are IDENTICAL, these are all in the same environment as each other in the set. the total number of sets is the number of environs.

consider pentane
there are 3 carbon / hydrogen environs, because C1 and C5 are same, and rapid exchange makes the H atoms on same carbon atom as equivalent.

in ethene, there is just one C/H environ
in chloroethene, there are 2 carbons
but hydrogen has 3 (gem to Cl, trans to Cl and cis to Cl)

in benzene, there is one
in chloro benzene , 4 carbon / hydrogen environs,
1,2 dichloro benzene, 3 carbon / hydrogen environs.

trick is to draw lots and lots of diagrams, its a knack like riding a bike, once youve got it, its easy.

Shielding, some of these topics cant effectively be explained in the paragraph or so available here. better to work at the text book. Something v electronegative deshields, something with high electron density adds shielding. but cannot explain more fully here. try asking for a particular example to be explained, nto the whole topic. I dont ever recall n+1 for shielding, only for coupled spins, again, please ask more specific question.

Any google links you find will probably involve too much math to be clear.

most any decent organic chemistry book will have a section on NMR.(my fav was McMurray, but check the library for what is available). Sounds like you just want to concentrate on solving spectra.

Ahh, just found this link:

Which should I buy, elliptical trainer/exercise bike?

livestrong spin bike on Exerpeutic LX7 Training Cycle with Computer Monitor and Heart Pulse ...

Marii

I have the option of buying a elliptical trainer or a exercise bike. I want to lose fat and burn more calories, which should I get? Please don't tell me to get a jump rope or go running, I don't have the option to as I get home late at night and would like the exercise in the comfort of my home :)

Answer
When you say exercise bike, does that include Spinning bikes? Given the choice between an elliptical trainer and a Spinning bike, I would pick the bike. Elliptical trainers don't challenge your fitness levels like Spinning bikes. I've taken Spinning classes and they were brutal for those out of shape participants like me. Especially, hill climbs. But, when your heart rate shows improvement, you will feel it all over. With the right diet, you will be energized.

Loosing fat and burning more calories will come as a result of any fitness regiment, but to increase the cardio takes exercise like Spinning, swimming, and of course running. Get yourself a Spinning bike; a participation DVD with music; a heart monitor (important); water bottles; and good padded bike shorts. If you've never been on a Spinning bike, be prepared to find out just how many muscles you have on your backside and in between the cheeks. You will hurt for about two weeks. Then, it goes away. But, you can do Spinning sessions with a DVD at home in front of a TV. Roughly, an hour each time with stretching; warm-up; Spinning; slow down; and cool down.

Something else to consider...the Body For LIfe Program. Everyone I know who's tried it has shown great results after 12 weeks. It's a small commitment, but one worth the effort.

If I do 50 push ups, 50 crunches, 50 squats a day, for a week, how fitter will I be?

Nicky

I'm currently a normal weight (143, 5'7") and I just want to get down maybe a few pounds and look a little better for my trip I am going on in a week. I will eat very healthy and how much of a difference will 50 squats, 50 push ups and 50 crunches a day make? will it be noticeable? any other tips on workouts i should do or eating tips? thanks a ton :)

Answer
I would try doing more core exercises and more pushups in addition to your 50's of each...

That will tone you up, but if that's all you wanna do then try like 3 or 4 sets of those! Plus, you need anywhere from 30-60min of cardio (I'd choose a spin bike if I were you).

http://www.fitnessmagazine.com/workout/cardio/no-treadmill/15-minute-fat-burning-cardio-workout/ (if you don't have time, this takes 15min)

Pick up a 17 Magazine, they have a section just for simple exercises and healthy eating habits.

PS: Stop eating gluten before you go cus gluten helps the fat layer in your body hold on to extra water, gives you the "puffy" look even if you're not. You'll see better results that way.

Indoor Cycling Spin bikes?

KT

I'm looking to purchase an indoor spin bike. Unfortunately, I know nothing about what brands or features to investigate! I am 5'0 so I'm also concerned with buying something that will adjust well to my size. Any advice would be great! =)

Answer
Some bicycle and sporting goods stores sell stationary (indoor) bicycles. You can also buy them online. Shop around carefully because there are important differences between a LeMond RevMaster, a Schwinn stationary bike, a Spinner (tm) bike, and a Keiser M3. Most stationary bikes do adjust to fit people between approximately 5' and 6'3".

Contact the manufacturers to see if they can refer you to a local fitness center that has their bikes. Then you can go test them. Otherwise, try to find them at a store and take a test ride. This is important because you don't want to be stuck with a bike you dislike or makes you uncomfortable!

See if you can get any free DVDs or training. Is there any support if the bike breaks or needs maintenance? How will you learn to set up the bike properly, to ride with proper form, to exercise safely and to train appropriately?

You can also buy a a trainer, a frame that holds a regular bicycle still while you ride it. These are readily available at bike and sports shops too. I would definitely visit a local bike shop to discuss options involving trainers.

Could you guys give me some advice on work out routines using this workout equipment?

bikerboy

what will I need to get and where??

Answer
Turbocharging is great when done correctly and a nightmare when not. There's several things to consider.

Turbo lag: that's the lag time between when you open the throttle and when the turbo gets to spinning enough that the engine starts making additional horsepower. With a turbo system that has a lot of lag, you whack open the throttle and then wait, wait and wait some more and then (usually) power comes on like flipping on a light switch, leaving you fighting to keep the bike under control.

Lag time is related to several things. A long distance between the exhaust port and the turbine contributes to long lag time as does a large turbo with heavy impellers. Because of inertia, heavy impellers take a long time to get spinning and a long time to slow down.

Turbine size: a turbo that's too big for your engine displacement gets in the way of air flow at low or no boost situations and will actually cut hp comapred to a naturally aspirated version of the same engine. A too-big turbo will build adequate boost only at high engine rpms.

A turbo that's too small will build boost quickly and at low rpms but without an exhaust wastegate, will quickly destroy itself because of excessive speed when you rev the engine up.

What you want is a turbo that's moderately sized for your engine displacement so it will have low lag, rev quickly, build boost at lower engine rpms but only use the wastegate at higher engine rpms. I thing the 1980's Kawasaki 750 turbo had an impeller about the size of a penny.

Putting more air into the engine increased the chance of detonation, hence the reason most turbo engines have a reduced comrpession ratio. For every half atmosphere (approx 7 psi), you need to lower the c.r. by 1 point. At low engine rpms with no boost, this decreases power, making turbo engines doggy at low speeds. To prevent detonation from destroying your engine under high boost, you need an automatic method of retarding the ignition.

Fuel can either be carb or fuel injection. With a carb ahead of the turbo, starting can be problematic and at low velocities, fuel can drop out of the airstream. With a carb after the turbo, you need a air tight box or enclosure the carb sets in, solid or foam floats to keep air pressure from crushing them, air tight linkage into the box and extra room for the box. You also must have a fuel pump that will produce more pressure than the turbo will produce. If not high enough, you get lean running and detonation or fuel starvation. If you have fuel injection, that simplifies things, but you'll need a boost sensor that will tell the ECU to provide more fuel.

You'll need extensive plumbing to get the exhaust to the turbo and back out as well as getting the pressurized air into the engine. You're also likely to have heat problems produced at the turbo and you may need to use head conserving measures for the exhaust between the engine and turbo. As the exhaust loses heat, it also loses velocity which decreases turbo efficiency.

You'll also need to get pressurized engine oil to the turbo and will surely need a good oil cooler. Lots of oil is needed to keep the turbo bearings cool and is why some are water cooled around the bearings. Some even use a separate oil reserviour to provide oil as a heat sink after shut down. Heat build up after shut down will carbonize the oil setting around the bearings and will damage them upon start up.

As you can see, it's not as simple as just bolting on a turbo and then going really fast. If you really want a turbo bike, look around for an '80s Honda (500-650 V twin) or 750 Kawasaki turbo. Of the two, the Kawasaki was the most civilized and fastest. The Yamaha and Suzuki turbo bikes were ok but are something better left for viewing instead of riding.

Cheap elliptical trainer for tall person?

Now, people may say that a cheap elliptical trainer will fall apart, you get what you pay for, etc., etc., but about five years ago, I bought an elliptical glider that was sturdy, light weight, and I could adjust it so the stride was just right (I'm 6'3"). I had it for two years and it never gave me any trouble. Had to get rid of it when I moved. I'm looking through all the elliptical glider specs and the ads say how great they are, the reviews say how junky they are, and everyone complains about the 'computer' read-outs. Who needs a so-called computer to calculate burning calories? you just need a watch and a way to measure your heartbeat - so for me, that 'feature' is irrelevant. I paid about $220 for my machine, and assembled it with no trouble. Anyone know a glider like that which does the job without the extraneous stuff.

Answer
Keep an eye out on ebay and in your local classified ads.

People buy fitness gear all the time and then never use it. You can get stuff really cheap if you are diligent and keep an eye out (the real bargains get snapped up very quick) I have a complete home gym (weights, leg press, several benches, power rack, cable system, tread mill, elliptical, spin bike) that cost me about 1/4 of the price of new gear.

Workouts for my butt?

jade

I have a full round butt and have been doing squats. What else can i do to make it more firm and lifted? Also i have "fat" under my buttcheeks like in the photos in this link http://www.realself.com/review/lapex-lipolaser-small-results-lot-money how can i get rid of them?
Just to be more clear. That is not me in the photos, its a photo i found similar to my situation, like i said "like in the photos in this link" i would never go under the knife for something minor like that. Which is why i would like to simply improve my butt with simple exercises.

Answer
The right cardio exercise and weight training activities (like squats
and deadlifts) can make a difference in your backside and help you get
those buns of steel. Find out the best cardio and strength training
exercises for strengthening and firming up your rear.
1. Squats.
Squats are one of the best exercises you can do for your hips, butt
and thighs. Stand with feet hip-width apart and squat, keeping back
straight, abs in and knees behind your toes. Let your butt lightly
touch chair and squeeze butt to stand up. Repeat for 2-3 sets of 8-12
reps and add weights for more intensity.
2. Lunges. Stand in a split
stance, with feet about 3 feet apart. You want both knees to be at
about 90-degree angles at the bottom of the movement, so adjust
accordingly. Hold weights in each hand (or place a barbell behind the
neck) for added intensity. Bend the knees and lower the back knee
toward the floor, keeping the front heel down and the knee directly
over the centre of the foot. Keep the torso straight and abs in as you
push through the front heel and back to starting position. Don't lock
the knees at the top of the movement. Perform 1 to 3 sets of 10 to 16
reps according to your fitness level and goals.
3. Step Ups. For step
ups, you simply place one foot on a step or platform and push through
the heel onto the step. This is an excellent exercise for the glutes.
4. Hip Extensions. Lie on the floor with feet propped on the ball,
legs straight. Keeping abs tight, slowly lift your hips off the floor
(squeezing the buttocks) until body is in a straight line. Hold for a
few seconds and lower, repeating 10 to 15 times.
5. One-Legged Deadlifts. You should skip this exercise if you
have any back problems. To do this move, take the left leg back just a bit, lightly
resting on the toe. With the weights in front of the thighs, tip from
the hips and lower the weights as low as your flexibility allows. Keep
your back flat or with a natural arch and make sure you keep the abs
contracted to protect the back. Squeeze the glutes of the working leg
to raise back up. Do 2-3 sets of 8-12 reps.
6. Hiking. Now the
exercises listed above aren't the only strength moves for the glutes,
but we often forget that there are cardio activities that will also
engage the backside. Hiking is one of those activities and it also
burns tons of calories. Also, walking up an incline automatically gets
your glutes more involved and, if you're wearing a backpack, you're
really getting a workout. A 140-lb person burns about 390 calories in
about an hour!
7. Biking. Riding a bike is great for your heart and it
also targets almost every muscle in your hips, thighs and butt. On a
stationary bike, alternate 3 minutes at 70-80 RPM with 2 minutes at
100-110 RPM for a calorie-blasting 30 minute workout. You can also try
Spinning at the gym or riding outside. Gear up to really work your
glutes! A 140-lb person burns 335 calories in 45 minutes.
8. Running. Running, like walking, is accessible, easy to learn, reduces stress,
helps in weight loss, and it makes you feel good. Plus, it really
works your butt, especially when you add a few hills to your regular
running route. A 140-lb person burns 475 calories during a 45 minute
jog.
9. Kickboxing. Kickboxing was a hot item back in the day, but it's
still a great workout. Controlled kicks work your hips, thighs and
butt while complex combinations that include punches will target your
abs to make them stronger. A 140-lb woman will burn up to 500 calories
with 45 minutes of kickboxing.
10. Walking. Walking is easy: you can do
it anywhere, anytime with no special equipment. There's no learning
curve and it's something you can incorporate all day long. If you walk
up hills, you can really target your glutes and, if you pick up the
intensity, you'll burn some of that extra flab off your buns! A 140-lb
person burns about 300 calories an hour during a brisk walk.

i am a 15 y/o female. i am 5'5'' (maybe 5'6'' not quite sure), and weigh 120-125 pounds. when i go to the gym i burn about 500 calories. is this too much, not enough, or just right?

Answer
That's great! It sounds like you've got a good and intense work out. How long does it take you to burn the calories? About 40 minutes?

Do you enjoy it? If you aren't enjoying the activity (once you get going) you can vary your cardio, or bring music to keep it fun. Try different machines (elliptical, treadmill, stair master, arc trainer, outdoor running, stationary bike, spinning classes) or go to cardio classes. There are lot of different kinds.

You should be doing 20-60 minutes of cardio 3-5 days a week for optimal cardio respiratory fitness. A lot of fitness sites recommend burning at least 300 calories per workout, but personally I find that a little slim. It may be that 300 is a number for beginning exercisers, an "entry level" kind of number. 500 sounds great. You go, girl!

You might want to remember that you can also do less if the mood strikes you. Less intense, less frequent, or a shorter period of time...just don't stop altogether.

The American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) has guidelines for physical activity on their site below. The recommendations are for healthy adults under 65.

what kind of bmx bike should i get thats very leight and around 500$?

Jordan Wal

i want a bmx bike that wont take too much of a beating because i dont plan on using it on bike jumps but want something just to mess around on that will be easy to 180 on flatground and do huge bunny hops and bar spins. i am hoping someone can reccomend me a bike 20 pounds or lower and around 500. thanks alot

Here are the two best bikes you can get for around $500.
